The RadLab at The University of Texas at Austin focuses on research using radiation and radioactivity to improve security and quality of life. Our primary topic of research is novel techniques for nuclear non-proliferation, arms control, and technical nuclear forensics. Our work benefits from access to the TRIGA research reactor at the Nuclear Engineering Teaching Lab and partnerships with research groups in materials, robotics, and electromechanics. We collaborate with national and defense laboratories to directly impact national and international nuclear security.
